Hanoi

Hello from Hanoi - the heart of Socialist Republic of Vietnam

We have been exploring the city for two days now. It's quite nice. Yesterdy we walked around the old city. It is interesting because all traditional crafts are located on particular streets i.e. there is a street of carpenters, street of blacksmiths and so on... Today we went to see Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. That's quite an experience. We had to leave our backpacks and wear long trousers. Then we walked in a strict double line queue together with hundrets of Vietnamese people to the mausoleum. We could see screens showing some patriotic events related to Uncle Ho. A music full of pathos was playing along the way. Inside the mausoleum one cannot smile, talk or even hold one's hands crossed - it is considered disrespectful ;) But I guess one has to actually see all of that to get the right picture...
And one more thing: Tato! Wszystkiego najlepszego! ;)
Sonia, Hania, Jasiek, Pawel i Roland ;)
Ok - now some photographs:
